About this event
We will plant seedlings in raised beds with students. Shift 2: 12:00pm – 3:30pm We're looking for 6–8 volunteers per shift. Here's a peek at the 20-minute program each class will rotate through Station 1 — Story Time Mrs. Johnson reads a garden-themed book to the class while our volunteers get ready at their stations. Station 2 — Show & Tell 3 CGC volunteers share printed materials and real vegetables with the children — a little education, a little wonder, a little show-and-tell magic. Station 3 — Let's Plant! 3 CGC volunteers guide 7 children at a time in planting radishes, cucumbers, and snap peas in raised beds. Little hands, big joy! Station 4 — Leaf Rubbing Craft Teacher-supervised craft time — children create leaf rubbings to take home as a keepsake.
